MNL and CRK are different airports. An itinerary that arrives at NAIA and departs from Clark needs a ground-transfer plan in addition to two flight tickets. Confirm the bus or car arrangements, include baggage and the next airline’s check-in deadline, and compare the total cost before treating a cheaper Clark departure as a saving.
Identify the transfer you are buying
A change between NAIA terminals stays within MNL. A move between MNL and CRK is an airport change. These should not be given the same time allowance or transport budget. Read the airport codes on each flight coupon rather than relying on a search result’s city label.
| Combination | What must be planned | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| NAIA terminal to another NAIA terminal | Terminal transfer and onward procedures | Current terminal assignment and transfer instructions |
| NAIA to Clark on separate tickets | Airport exit, road transfer and new check-in | Ground-transport plan plus second ticket’s deadline |
| Clark to NAIA | Correct NAIA terminal and final drop-off | Exact stop, then any remaining terminal transfer |
| Arrival late at night | Service availability and backup | Operator confirmation for the actual date and time |
| Large boxes or mobility equipment | Vehicle capacity and assistance | Written acceptance from the transport provider |
The NNIC shuttle announcement describes free transfers for connecting passengers between NAIA terminals. That service is not a promise of a free journey to Clark. Keep inter-terminal and inter-airport costs as separate lines in your plan.
Check the actual bus stop and current service
Clark Airport’s official transport page lists Genesis among its bus services and provides operator contact information. Genesis’s own P2P page publishes its schedules and warns they can change. Check the operator’s current notice for the travel date instead of copying an old timetable from a screenshot.
Cebu Pacific’s NAIA–Clark advisory locates the Genesis kiosk at NAIA Terminal 3’s arrivals Bay 13 and Clark’s arrival-area bus station. Confirm the boarding point with the dispatcher because a kiosk, pickup bay and final drop-off are not necessarily interchangeable.
That same airline page dates its discount to 16 May–16 July 2026. It is already past that period at this guide’s October check. Do not deduct the advertised promotion from your budget without a new valid offer. Ask about the regular fare, accepted payment, luggage space and exact NAIA stops. This page does not publish a live bus price or departure frequency.
Work backwards from the second flight
Start with the next airline’s check-in or bag-drop deadline, not its scheduled takeoff time. Then allow for arrival at the right terminal, unloading, finding the counter and any document checks. A road journey estimate alone omits these steps.
Use this worksheet with your own confirmed inputs:
Latest road arrival = onward check-in deadline − terminal preparation allowance.
Latest road departure = latest road arrival − planned road time − road contingency.
Compare that result with a realistic point when you can leave the first airport after landing, baggage and any entry procedures. Include waiting for the transport you actually intend to use. If the calculation only works with no queue, no delayed bag and no missed bus, change the itinerary or consider an overnight stop. These are planning choices, not a universal minimum connection time.
On separate tickets, ask each seller what happens if the first flight is late. Do not assume the second airline will rebook you without charge. The existence of a bus connection does not turn independently purchased flights into a protected connection.
Compare the full cost for your group
Put both tickets + baggage + ground transport + any hotel + meals during the gap + onward local transport into the trip-budget tool. Add a contingency you can afford; it is a personal planning amount, not a forecast of a likely delay.
For several travellers, compare a confirmed vehicle quote with the bus cost for the whole group. Check whether tolls, parking, waiting and all bags are included. For balikbayan boxes, tell the provider the number and dimensions before choosing a small vehicle. Airline acceptance does not establish bus acceptance. For assistance or mobility equipment, confirm boarding arrangements instead of assuming airport assistance continues into the road transfer.
A booking and departure checklist
- Save the two airport codes, flight dates and correct NAIA terminal in one itinerary.
- Obtain the second airline’s deadline and the sellers’ missed-connection terms.
- Confirm the operator, boarding location, destination stop and luggage arrangements.
- Keep the transport contact, tickets and local payment method accessible.
- Recheck flight changes and service notices before setting out.
Use the NAIA airport guide and Clark airport guide to compare the endpoints. Search the flight options through route guides, then record the entire airport change in the trip planner. If an international flight is involved, complete the relevant eTravel preparation separately from transport planning.
Frequently asked questions
Is Clark another NAIA terminal?
No. CRK is a different airport from MNL. A journey between them needs an inter-airport ground transfer, not just a NAIA terminal change.
How many hours should I allow between separate tickets?
There is no guaranteed allowance in this guide. Work backwards from the next airline’s check-in deadline and include airport exit, transport waiting, road travel, contingency and terminal procedures.
Does the free NAIA shuttle go to Clark?
The cited NNIC service is for transfers between NAIA terminals. Check a separate inter-airport transport service and its current fare for Clark.
