> Understand dated Philippine fare observations, one-way comparisons and missing results. Check route guides before drawing conclusions about price trends.

**The current comparable fare history is not sufficient to establish a Philippine airfare trend.** In the 25 October 2026 review, no route had two comparable one-way snapshots in the current history. A dated observed price can help you start a search; it cannot establish that fares are rising, falling or cheapest in a particular week.

## Why the earlier trend conclusions were removed

The earlier version compared historical snapshots whose trip basis was mixed or not established. Those observations are excluded from the current one-way history. Comparing a return fare with a one-way fare can create an apparent price movement that does not represent a cheaper equivalent trip.

The previous percentage changes, biggest-mover rankings and cheapest-week conclusions have therefore been withdrawn. This is a correction to the comparison method, not evidence that the market moved in the opposite direction.

## Read a fare observation correctly

| Detail | What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Route | Exact origin and destination | Different airports can mean different trips |
| Trip basis | One-way or return | The amounts are not interchangeable |
| Currency | Currency displayed with the amount | A number alone cannot be compared |
| Observation date | When the fare was retrieved | Availability may have changed |
| Travel date | When the flight departs | This is different from the observation date |
| Included services | Baggage and fare conditions at checkout | A cached price is not the whole trip budget |

[Travelpayouts' Data API documentation](https://support.travelpayouts.com/hc/en-us/articles/203956163-Aviasales-Data-API) describes cached prices based on user searches. Such observations are not a record of every seat sold or a guaranteed offer.

## What is needed before comparing movement

Comparable observations must use the same route, currency and trip basis, with clear travel dates and collection times. Even two points only show a difference between observations; they do not prove a recurring weekday pattern, annual seasonality or the price an individual passenger will pay.

Missing results do not mean that a route has no flights. A search cache may lack observations, and a data request may fail. Neither condition should be converted into a zero fare or a claim that an airline stopped operating.

## How to use the site now

Open the [route guides](/flights/) and look for dated fare observations where available. Check your actual dates with the seller and add the baggage and transport you need. Use the [Manila date-comparison worksheet](/cheapest-day-to-fly-from-manila/) to compare alternatives with consistent inputs.

If no observation is shown, run a fresh search for your dates rather than treating the blank as a sold-out notice. The [travel calendar](/calendar/) helps with seasonal planning; it is not a live fare calendar or evidence of the cheapest booking week.

## Method and limits

The review date above describes a check of the site's available history. It is not a promise that every displayed fare was observed at that exact time. Each fare must retain its own date and context. New comparable observations may eventually support a clearly scoped analysis; until then this page publishes no market-wide percentage trend.

## Frequently asked questions

### Are Philippine fares falling?

This history does not establish that conclusion. Compare a fresh quote for your exact itinerary; do not rely on the withdrawn historical percentage claims.

### Can I book at an observed price?

Only if the seller still offers it with conditions you accept. Confirm the final total and availability before payment.
